Community Wealth-Building & Entrepreneurship • Family Supports • Community Bridging The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately devastated communities already vulnerable to systemic inequities, social/ethnic marginalization, and imm

igration insecurity. The Equity Center exists to offer effective solutions to post-pandemic recovery needs through innovative ideas, nimble infrastructures, and collaborative approaches. We offer the following services:
-Food and Resources (including large-scale “Grab-and-go” food distributions, smaller community partner events, vaccine and health clinics in collaboration with partners organizations, and Montgomery County Summer Meals program)
-Health and Wellness (including COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, free or low-cost eye and dental clinics, health screenings, nutrition, cooking, exercise, and family health classes, and mental health assistance, mindfulness, and spiritual care)
-Community Economic Development (including Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and workforce development services)
-Resource Connection to mental health services, rent and eviction services, immigration assistance, and more
-Social Connection
-Early Childhood Education in partnership with the BASICS program

We have exciting news to share! 🎉
Since 2020, The Equity Center at Cross Community has been honored to walk alongside individuals and families—building relationships, creating opportunity, and serving our community.
Today, we step into a new chapter: The Well Center.
A well is a place of life, renewal, and gathering—where people come to be refreshed and strengthened. That is what this center represents.
The Well Center will be a space where children, parents, and families can access resources, build skills, and find support—while also being seen, valued, and connected. It reflects both where we’ve been and where we’re going: rooted in The Equity Center, and growing into a deeper investment in our community’s future.
This expansion also brings a two-generation approach—supporting both children and the adults in their lives, because lasting change happens when families grow stronger together.
We’re also excited to share our new 11,000 sq. ft. facility will open this summer! 🎉
We’re grateful for this journey—and excited for what’s ahead.
