Community Wealth-Building & Entrepreneurship • Family Supports • Community Bridging The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately devastated communities already vulnerable to systemic inequities, social/ethnic marginalization, and imm
igration insecurity. The Equity Center exists to offer effective solutions to post-pandemic recovery needs through innovative ideas, nimble infrastructures, and collaborative approaches. We offer the following services:
-Food and Resources (including large-scale “Grab-and-go” food distributions, smaller community partner events, vaccine and health clinics in collaboration with partners organizations, and Montgomery County Summer Meals program)
-Health and Wellness (including COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, free or low-cost eye and dental clinics, health screenings, nutrition, cooking, exercise, and family health classes, and mental health assistance, mindfulness, and spiritual care)
-Community Economic Development (including Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and workforce development services)
-Resource Connection to mental health services, rent and eviction services, immigration assistance, and more
-Social Connection
-Early Childhood Education in partnership with the BASICS program
