This morning, I was invited to the completion ceremony for the English class program; it was deeply rewarding to see so many students finish their studies. My mind wandered back more than 15 years to when our organization, Mujer Fuerza y Coraje, was just a community group. I had a vision: to start a small, informal Morning English class for beginners specifically for mothers like myself who had young children and wanted to learn the language.
This class was intended to complement the conversation sessions we were already holding. I shared my dream with the right person, Pastor Jennifer Fener, who asked: how can I help?. Our first class had 18 students, the second had 25, and child care for our kids and from there, the program has grown to include multiple levels and many students. Today, I reflected on that journey and thanked God for allowing me to witness His greatness and love, and for guiding me to help others believe in and work toward their dreams. I also gave thanks for the opportunities, the collaborators, the doors that opened, every person who benefits from this resource, and the partnerships with the Ana A. Brito organization and Epworth United Methodist Church. Thank you for taking those informal English classes to the next level and for continuing the vital work of supporting women and their families as they pursue and realize their dreams.
Está mañana fui invitada a la ceremonia de fin del programa de clases de inglés, fue muy gratificante ver a muchos estudiantes finalizar su estudios. y mi mente me llevo a más de 15 años atrás cuando nuestra organización Mujer Fuerza y Coraje era solo un grupo comunitario, tenía una idea en mi mente y era abrir un pequeño grupo informal de clases de inglés ( Turno de la mañanas) dirigido a estudiantes principiantes con un grupo de madres como yo que teníamos a nuestros hijos pequeños y buscábamos estudiar inglés , esa clase sería como un anexo a las clases de conversación que ya teníamos y hable de mi sueños con la persona correcta Pastora Jennifer Fener y dijo dime cómo te puedo ayudar y nuestro primer clase fue de 18 estudiantes, la segunda de 25 y cuidado infantil para nuestros niños, actualmente son varios niveles y muchos estudiantes. este día volví a traz y agradecí a Dios por permitirme mirar su grandeza y su amor y por ser mi guía para poder apoyar a más personas a creer en sus sueños y trabajar por ellos, y agradeci por las oportunidades, por los colaboradores, por las puertas que se abrieron, por cada persona que se beneficia de este recurso y por las alianzas con la organización Ana A.Brito y Epwoth United Methodist Church, gracias por llevar esas clases de inglés informales a otro nivel y seguir apoyando esta gran labor y apoyar a las familias a seguir y hacer realidad sus sueños.
