👏 Now Available For Adoption 👏
NICHOLAS is a gorgeous one-year-old, fluffy black kitty with a big personality wrapped in a very affectionate, endlessly entertaining package. Equal parts needy sweetheart and high-energy adventurer, Nicholas believes attention should be plentiful, doors should remain open, and every room is better when you are in it.
When he wants affection, he does not believe in subtlety—expect enthusiastic, sometimes surprisingly powerful, headbutts demanding pets! Although he is not much of a lap cat, he is an excellent companion. He will happily follow you from room to room, settle nearby, and supervise whatever you are doing. Close a door between you, however, and you may hear an indignant meow reminding you that Nicholas does not approve of being excluded.
Playtime is where this energetic boy truly shines. He adores wand toys, feather toys, and especially chasing anything that moves through an automatic tunnel toy. He can play for impressively long stretches without seeming to tire, making him a wonderful match for someone who enjoys active, interactive play. He is also highly treat-motivated, a hearty and non-picky eater, and an exceptionally tidy gentleman at mealtime. As an added bonus, he keeps litter tracking to a minimum.
Nicholas can become very excited during play and will show some play aggression when he is fully amped up. If hands or feet enter his orbit at the wrong moment, he may give a warning nip or launch a playful sneak attack. He redirects well to appropriate toys, but his adopter should be comfortable reading feline body language, giving him space when overstimulated, and keeping play focused on toys rather than hands.
His ideal home would be with an active family—particularly one with older children—who can give him plenty of attention, enrichment, and opportunities to burn off his seemingly endless energy. His experience with younger children and other animals is currently unknown. Because he is so social and playful, he may have potential to enjoy compatible companions, but any introductions should be gradual and thoughtfully supervised.
For someone seeking an affectionate shadow, enthusiastic playmate, and charmingly dramatic best friend, Nicholas is ready to join the adventure: https://awlmc.org/kitty/nicholas-d-wolfwood/
