🎯 WE DID IT! 🎉

We are over-the-top excited to announce that we've officially met our Pitch Burst Fundraiser goal! 💦

Today, we received the final check that put us over the top from the Auto Care Clinic, Inc. Their generosity, along with the support of so many community members and businesses, and of course our Pitch Burst volunteers, helped make our goal a reality!

This achievement is a testament to the power of collaboration and shared commitment to making Warren County a healthier, stronger community.

THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the Pitch Burst campaign, and all those who agreed to sit in the "cold" seat. We couldn't have done it without you!

Together, we're making a difference! 💙

We are absolutely humbled by the generosity of The Apple House team and BETH Waller, Realtor/Associate Broker KW-Solutions, Keller Williams Realty! These folks are some of the most generous people we know, and we are so thankful for their support!

Last Friday, 9/25, was set aside as a day to honor Dolly Parton. Locally, it was declared Dollars for Dolly Day, and folks were encouraged to donate to a local charity and "give like Dolly." The Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Foundation specifically encouraged people to direct their giving to the local affiliates of the Imagination Library. In Warren County, that's our HALO (Helping All Little Ones) Read.

Beth issued a $5,000 matching gift challenge running from 9/25 through December 1st in support of HALO Read. Then The Apple House owners, George McIntyre and Katie Tewell, decided to take their earnings from 9/25 and donate them to the HALO Read program! Their generous $1,000 gift has brought us to almost 50% of the matching gift! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! These generous, vibrant folks continue to make a difference in our community. We appreciate you all so much!

In of My Story Weaves Our Story, hostess Tina Stevens speaks with the amazing Brandace Kerns, who has made a new life for herself in long-term recovery. Brandace has successfully re-established family relationships and is now engaged at a job she loves. In her spare time, she volunteers throughout the community, including at the Warren Coalition! (In fact, you may have seen her in the pitch burst this past weekend!) Watch/listen here to the story of her journey.

In this round of Pitch Burst photos: Cheryl Cullers and Crystal Cline, both pitch burst veterans and extraordinarily good sports!

Brandace Kerns has been a big supporter of Warren Coalition--she even did a podcast with us that we'll share here on Facebook tomorrow! (Though if you can't wait, you can see it on our YouTube channel now.) She was brand-new to the pitch burst this year, but not as new as Peyton Hensley, who agreed on Friday to substitute in the pitch burst in for another teacher! We're not sure she actually knew what she was in for...but we appreciate them both nonetheless!

Special props to these two volunteers! Tyler Cheely had never been to a Celebrate Kids Day and didn't really know what he was in for. He was also working the gym for Parks & Rec during CKD, so after he got drenched, he had to change and get back to work! Clara was a last-minute volunteer from Shenandoah University who filled in a slot when another participant didn't show.

Another matched set--Jason Neale sat in the pitch burst for the first time this year, while Bret Bement is a seasoned veteran. However, we had a scheduling issue, and Bret cheerfully agreed to move up his time in the pitch burst, which unfortunately meant that he didn't have his fun hat with him this time around!

Here are Jen Avery and our fundraising champ for this year, Kevin Brooks! Jen has been part of the pitch burst since we started it--in fact, it was her idea to use it as a fundraiser! Kevin was brand-new to the experience this year. Can you tell from the photos? 😄
