๐ŸŽ’โœจ WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR! โœจ๐ŸŽ’

To all of our students, teachers, admins and support staff this week โ€” welcome back! As you kick off this exciting year and get back into your school year routines, know that we are cheering you on! ๐Ÿ’™

With the start of the new school year, we are also getting excited for another year of new opportunities and fun at the Student Union. Our Fall Programming for 2026/2027 officially begins Monday, September 14! ๐ŸŽ‰

Between now and then, our team will be busy behind the scenes with planning, preparation, and lots of meetings to make sure weโ€™re ready for you. Because of that, we wonโ€™t have our regular drop-in hours before fall programming begins.

But we donโ€™t want that to mean you canโ€™t come see us! If youโ€™re a Student Union member or friend and want to stop by, reach out to us and weโ€™ll work with you to find a time for you to come in, hang out, and use the space. ๐Ÿ™Œ

We canโ€™t wait to see everyone and kick off a great new school year together!

During Serve Week, teens will help refresh Harlee's Garden, plant flowers around the new pedestrian bridge mural, and beautify the Student Union campus for everyone who visits.

It's a chance to work together to give back, and leave a lasting impact that the community will enjoy all season long.

๐ŸŽจ Summer Enrichment Week 3: Art In Action is blowing us away!

Over the first two days of camp, students have been super busy creating, and exploring new skills.

Working alongside local artist Kate Stephens, campers helped design and paint a new mural for the pedestrian bridge connecting Bing Crosby Stadium, Fantasyland Playground, and the Student Union campus. They also transformed an old piano into a colorful community art piece and created tiny art projects that will be displayed at Samuels Public Library.

Students spent time learning woodworking skills with Rob Sperling of RS Woodworks, giving them the opportunity to try something completely new while creating a fun project to take home.

Between the art, hands-on learning, and time spent enjoying the park together, it has been a week full of creativity and connection.

When asked how she felt about all the new experiences, one student had the perfect answer:
