Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board

Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board We are laying the foundation for growth and success in individual job seekers -- and our community by fostering economic and workforce development.

Under the direction of our 44-member Board of Directors, represented by private business, labor representatives and public entities, our number one goal is to add to the economic vitality of Fresno County. We do this by sticking to the basics… by helping employers develop their businesses with well-trained and uniquely-qualified employees and by supporting committed individuals in search of employ

ment. Federal and state funds are utilized to provide employment and training programs to assist adults and dislocated workers, at-risk youth (14-21 years old) and local employers. We are laying the foundation for growth and success for our individual job seekers – and in the community where we live. Adult Program
• Under the leadership of the Fresno Regional Workforce Investment Board Workforce Connection, adults and dislocated workers may access employment, education, and training services through a combination of four Workforce Connection One-Stop Centers that are located in Fresno, Coalinga, Reedley, and Firebaugh. • Under the direction and oversight of the Fresno Regional Workforce Investment Board’s Youth Council, Fresno County eligible youth, ages 14 through 21, can access services designed to increase educational options and opportunities, develop job skills, explore career options, develop leadership qualities, participate in adult and peer mentoring and counseling, and take advantage of work experiences. These services are available throughout Fresno County at various locations. Workforce Connection One-Stop Centers:

We’re proud to recognize Maritza for successfully completing her internship through the EOPS Vocational Internship Program (VIP)!

As a Business major at Fresno City College, Maritza completed her internship with our front desk team at the Workforce Connection Fresno Comprehensive Center, where she welcomed customers, assisted with check-ins, and gained valuable hands-on experience in a professional environment.

The EOPS VIP program provides students with paid work experience opportunities that help bridge the gap between education and career success. We are excited to see where Maritza’s hard work and dedication take her next.
