Update 10/1: rescued by Austin Bulldog Rescue
🚨SWEET CHEEKS WAS ORIGINALLY REPORTED AS DEAD, BUT SHE IS STILL ALIVE & BOTH GIRLS NEED RESCUE & FOSTER NOW🚨
Sweet Cheeks was originally reported as having passed away, but we have now learned that Mama Sweet Cheeks is still at the shelter and she needs help too.
Sweet Tart & her mom Sweet Cheeks came into the shelter together as strays after they were found running through a neighborhood in the heat. They were overheating. They are very bonded, and thankfully, both girls are still here after shelter previously mislabeled Sweet Cheeks as deceased.
Sweet Tart is only 3 years old & 25 pounds. She recently had surgery to repair a pr*****ed re**um and is also being treated for a URI. She will need continued care, medications, and likely ongoing dietary management, supplements & preventative care to help prevent another prolapse.
Sweet Cheeks is 4 years old & 43 pounds, and she is currently being treated for a URI as well. Both girls are heartworm negative & dog friendly.
These two are incredibly sweet, short-legged little girls. Sweet Cheeks has that chunky Bulldog build, while Sweet Tart is tiny, and they clearly mean a lot to each other.
Everyone would LOVE to see them rescued together. After everything these girls have already been through, they deserve to have someone care for BOTH of them and give them the safe, loving home they should have had all along.
Please SHARE Sweet Tart & Sweet Cheeks! They need medical rescue & foster placement.
