Today we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the ongoing work of building stronger communities.
Juneteenth marks the day news of freedom finally reached enslaved African Americans in Texas—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It is a reminder that freedom is not just a moment in history, but a responsibility carried forward by each generation.
At Community Frontline, we believe that understanding our history helps us create a better future. Through conversation, connection, and community action, we continue the work of bringing people together, supporting one another, and building stronger neighborhoods for all.
Today we honor those who came before us, celebrate the progress made, and recommit ourselves to the work that still lies ahead.
Happy Juneteenth.
