Four Amazing Weeks of STEAM Summer Camp!
What an incredible summer it has been at Sensory Fun & Playroom! Over the past four weeks, our campers have explored the exciting worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) through hands-on, sensory-friendly activities designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Every week has provided new opportunities for children to learn, build friendships, and discover the joy of exploring in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Our adventure began Under the Sea, where campers conducted sink-or-float experiments, built boats, created ocean-inspired artwork, and explored marine life through engaging sensory activities. During Space Explorers Week, our young astronauts launched into coding games, rocket engineering challenges, galaxy-inspired art projects, and interactive math activities that were truly out of this world. We then traveled back in time for Dinosaur Discovery Week, where campers excavated fossils, searched for dinosaur eggs, built prehistoric habitats, explored erupting volcanoes, and enjoyed hands-on sensory play. Most recently, Nature & Gardening Week encouraged children to explore the outdoors through plant science, garden engineering, nature art, technology activities, and sensory exploration that celebrated the beauty of the natural world.
Throughout the summer, campers have developed problem-solving skills, teamwork, communication, creativity, and self-confidence while participating in activities thoughtfully designed to support children of all abilities, including those with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and sensory processing differences. Our sensory-friendly approach ensures every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive at their own pace.
