“I was set up for success the moment I graduated.”

Kathryn Warble, B.S. ’17, M.S.Ed. ’20, credits her time at Purdue Fort Wayne with setting a solid foundation for her future career.

“I truly wouldn't be where I am without both the Human Services program AND the CMHC track,” she said. “I loved every moment of both programs and feel they gave me the skills and connections to get where I am today. The knowledge I gained provided me the opportunity to pass my licensure exams and succeed as a business owner; the compassion and empathy modeled by my professors helped shape into the therapist I am today.”

Alumni! We need your help winning this local college competition! Join us at the Alumni Center tomorrow, Nov 4th, from 12-4 pm, or Wednesday the 5th, from 2-5 pm, with your FOOD donations. All proceeds will stay on campus to support students via the Food Pantry. We hope to see you there! (1528 E California Rd)

The U Can Crush Hunger competition has kicked off! Our annual collegiate food fundraiser officially starts on Monday, where local NE Indiana Universities are competing to see who can collect the most food and and monetary donations. The food raised stays on campus to support the college pantries, some of which are open to the public.

“My studies at PFW directly impacted my ability to obtain a top tier job in the Fort Wayne community.”

Alexander Harvey, M.S.Ed. ’17, ’24, stayed local after earning his first master’s degree with a job as a counselor at Fort Wayne Community Schools. He’s still there, but added a PFW degree in mental health counseling last year. During his studies, Harvey spent hundreds of hours working directly with clients—experience that prepared him for his current position.

“My clinical experience at the Community Counseling Center on campus had a huge impact on my learning. It allowed me to have hands on experience while receiving live feedback to better my skills.”

Alexis Dove, B.S. ’20, M.S.Ed. ’24, returned to Purdue Fort Wayne after earning a bachelor’s degree to pursue a master’s. Now she’s a counselor at Leo High School, drawing on lessons from both degrees to help a new generation navigate life.
