Blue Jacket, Inc.

Blue Jacket, Inc. We believe no adult should have a barrier to employment! We are a Fort Wayne Nonprofit

Blue Jacket provides a 40-hour intensive job-readiness training entitled the Career Academy. This training provides an opportunity for clients to show through hard work their effort to gain a second chance and becoming redeemable. Clients must also appear on time and with assignments complete and dressed business professional. This is a visible manifestation that they are serious about the world of work and the middle class work ethic that roots modern day employment.

Robert, Rusty, and Tony went down to Crawfordsville, IN to pick up a huge donation of tools and equipment from retired Wabash College Art Professor (and mentor to our CEO Tony) Doug Calisch. This sets up the ability for building & repairing all metal and wood products for Fantasy of Lights and reNew by Blue Jacket. Just as important, it helps us train! On to our next season. 👏🫶 Thank you, Doug!

Last night was a dream.

The turnout for Blue Jacket’s 10th Annual Second Chances event was incredible. There is truly nothing quite like the energy in that room and I find myself looking forward to it every year.

There’s a very specific kind of magic in being an artist and supporting an impactful mission through your artwork. And I’m grateful a million times over for that.

Being trusted to create these pieces around Tara’s story made returning this year especially meaningful to me.

Thank you .inc for inviting me back and for continuing to create space for stories of resilience and second chances. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the important work Blue Jacket is doing.

So deeply grateful to be a small part of it.
Heart full.
Onward.
