Hi friends!

We are still on the hunt for an e-moto for our PSA shoot on Monday. If you or anyone you know might be interesting in participating or assisting us please reach out here or to [email protected]. Thank you so much!

Fort Wayne Trails will be working on some new safety PSA's next Friday and are looking for an e-moto owner to participate in the filming or that would be willing to loan an e-moto to us for the day.

Filming will take place next Friday, October 16th. If you are interested in either please email [email protected].

We will also be looking for some additional extras, so if you might be interested in that shoot me an email as well! Thanks all and have a great weekend.

Fort Wayne Trails needs your help!

On Monday, October 19th we will be producing a bunch of fun new PSA videos with our friends at Upper Valley Film Co. and we need volunteers for extras! Filming will be for most of the day with at 9am start. No experience required, just be coachable and willing to be a bit silly. We are excited to welcome Hayley Barnfield to the Fort Wayne Trails team as the new Development & Engagement Manager.

She is a proud Fort Wayne native with over 6 years of experience working for Non profits in areas including development, fundraising, event planning, and community engagement. She is passionate about Fort Wayne and dedicated to helping create a stronger and more connected community. Outside of work, you can often find her enjoying time with her family, or exploring Fort Wayne's many trails. The Pufferbelly is her favorite!

Hey trail users! Have you heard?

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is developing the first-ever Indiana Active Transportation Plan (IN-ACT) to guide future planning, investment, and coordination for walking, bicycling, and rolling across the state. The plan will identify statewide active transportation needs, opportunities, and strategies to support safe, practical, and connected travel options for Hoosiers and visitors. Active transportation includes walking, bicycling, using mobility devices, and other human-powered or low-speed ways of traveling.

INDOT is seeking input on how Hoosiers experience walking, biking, and other forms of human-powered transportation across the state. We encourage you to help shape IN-ACT and the future of Allen County trails, by taking the survey below. Your voice matters when it comes to safer trails!

Yesterday, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the newest section of the Union Chapel Road Trail! This new extension connects the Pufferbelly Trail at Life Bridge Church to Coldwater Road, providing safer connections to Maple Creek Middle School and beyond!

Join us on Saturday, October 17th for the 2026 Great Tree Canopy Comeback! We are looking for a handful of volunteers to help plant trees on the Golden Spike section of the Pufferbelly Trail.
