Thank you Historic Oakdale Neighborhood for sharing. Woodhurst Community Association residents please take advantage of this great offer if you can.

Hey, neighbors! We rented a wood chipper with haul away service for the Great American Cleanup this Saturday, May 2, from 9-11 a.m.

Please bring your big limbs, stick piles or spent Christmas trees to our lot at 519 Kinsmoor Ave. (the parking lot behind Wunderkammer and Colombian Delights on Fairfield Ave.)

If you're in Oakdale Neighborhood, we can have one of our crews pick up too. Message or comment where we need to go and specify street or alley.

We are offering this service to other neighborhoods too but not pickup service. Help free up space in the other neighborhood dumpsters by bringing these items to our lot.

A special shoutout to our paid members who help us offer this service to the neighborhood and our 07 neighbors. Thank you!!!

See you Saturday morning!

City Leaf Pickup / Yard Waste: Beginning March 23, the City of Fort Wayne will collect brown biodegradable paper leaf/lawn/garden bags placed by the curb. Only leaves should be placed in the bags, not dirt, sand, or heavy wood. Residents must call 311 from their cell (or 427-8311 from a land line) after they have filled and placed the bags at the curb. The bags will then be collected within two business days. Biodegradable bags placed in alleys will not be collected. Brown paper bags can be purchased at hardware stores, Costco, Menards, and other places. The early and heavy snow disrupted the last City leaf pickup in Woodhurst back in December. That left a lot of leaves in the park strips, on the curb / street in front of homes, and elsewhere. Please consider using this new pickup opportunity which the City has just added to begin spring cleanup. The collection period will run through April 3. These dates may be subject to change due to weather.

A lounge/lawn chair cushion appears to have blown into the front yard of 601 Roxbury Court from some place. It's on the curb/sidewalk if the owner wants to come and claim it. If it doesn't find its way home soon, in the next couple days, it will be disposed of. Please help spread the message, especially if you are a resident that lives in that general area. Thank you.
