One of the most beautiful parts of birth work isn’t just watching a baby enter the world—it’s witnessing a father step into his new role.
Our Cradle & Care Doula Dad gently held his precious baby girl close, softly asking, “What’s wrong, baby? It’s Dada.” In that moment, you could see the love, protection, and pride radiating from him. He wasn’t just meeting his daughter—he was becoming the father she will always know.

🌸 The Placenta: Your Baby’s First Lifeline 🌸

Did you know the placenta is one of the most incredible organs your body creates?

For nearly 40 weeks, it works around the clock to:
🤍 Deliver oxygen and nutrients to your growing baby.
🤍 Remove waste products from your baby’s bloodstream.
🤍 Produce essential hormones that help support a healthy pregnancy.
🤍 Help protect your baby by passing antibodies from mother to baby.

After birth, the placenta has one final job—it separates from the uterus and is delivered during the third stage of labor. Making sure the placenta is delivered completely is an important part of postpartum care because retained placental tissue can increase the risk of heavy bleeding or infection.

Every placenta is unique, just like every pregnancy. It’s a beautiful reminder of the amazing work a mother’s body does long before she ever holds her baby.
