Meet Winnie — A Little Girl With a BIG Heart!

Sweet Winnie is an adorable 8-9 month-old little girl who is looking for her forever home! She is full of energy, playful, curious, and always ready for some fun. But once playtime is over, Winnie is more than happy to show you her loving side and soak up all the pets and affection you can give her.

Winnie does well with cats and dogs and is currently in a foster home with both. Like any new kitty, she may need a little time and patience to become comfortable with her new furry friends, but she has shown that she can happily coexist with other animals.

And if youre looking for a bedtime snuggle buddy, Winnie may be your girl! She loves curling up right next to your pillow, purring away as she settles in for the night. Theres something pretty special about waking up beside a happy, purring kitty!

Winnie is also good with adults and children, making her a wonderful addition to a loving family.

Last month, our small, volunteer-run rescue welcomed 14 Maltese dogs surrendered from a breeding situation. They range in age from young adults to seniors, and while they are finally safe, they urgently needed medical care, grooming, and lots of patience as they begin a new chapter.

Many of these sweet dogs had never received the routine care every dog deserves. They needed comprehensive veterinary exams, vaccinations, dental cleanings, treatment for neglected teeth and other medical conditions, and professional grooming to remove matted coats and help them feel comfortable again. Some also required ongoing medical care before they were healthy enough to find loving forever homes.

As a small nonprofit rescue with no paid employees, every dollar we receive goes directly toward the animals in our care. Our volunteers donate their time, but we depend entirely on the generosity of compassionate supporters to cover veterinary bills, medications, food, grooming, supplies, and everyday care.

Taking in 14 dogs at once was one of the largest commitments we’ve ever made, but we couldn’t turn them away when they needed help.

Here’s how you can make a difference:

• $25 helps provide food and daily care.
• $50 helps cover grooming supplies and basic medical needs.
• $100 helps offset the cost of a veterinary exam and vaccinations.
• $250 or more helps fund a much-needed dental cleaning or other essential treatment.

Every gift—no matter the amount—brings these little dogs like these and others one step closer to healthy, happy lives in loving homes.

If you’re unable to donate, you can still help by sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, and community. Every share increases the chances that someone will see these dogs’ story and decide to help.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing that every dog deserves kindness, comfort, and a second chance. Together, we can transform the lives of these 14 Maltese and other pets to give them the future they have always deserved.

*****Foster Found!!!!****
Thank you to all who shared and big thanks to the foster that stepped up to help!

This loving young mama cat desperately needs a place to be temporarily fostered. Due to a severe eye infection her baby had to be taken away from her for critical care. She is not doing well in a crate situation. She's very loving and just needs a place to decompress and get over her sadness from losing her only baby. She is healthy, young and very sweet, but right now she's petrified! Can anyone help Foster this sweet baby? Please share!

🎆 Fireworks Pet Safety Reminder 🐾

The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and while fireworks are exciting for us, they can be frightening and dangerous for our pets. Many pets go missing around the Fourth of July due to fireworks-related anxiety. Taking a few simple precautions now can help ensure a safe and stress-free holiday for everyone.

❤️ If your pet struggles with noise anxiety, now is a great time to talk with your veterinarian about calming options before the holiday arrives.

Please make sure your pets are chipped, tagged and restrained today and tonight! Every year we are contacted by owners of lost dogs after they are scared from the fireworks. Even dogs that are normally ok can be afraid and try to hide! Happy 4th of July from the pets and volunteers at Fur and Tails!

This is one of the hardest rescue days yet. Best girl ever!
We’ll see you again at the rainbow bridge. Harley was in our sanctuary program for 4 years, she passed from an untreatable cancer and lived her best life!
