You wouldn’t set up a tent and try to sleep inside a Bass Pro Shop just because they sell camping gear.

Church works the exact same way. We don’t gather on Sundays just to set up camp inside the building and window shop. We come together to get equipped, get encouraged, and be filled up so we can actually go out the rest of the week and live out the mission.

Stop window shopping your faith. Take what you’ve been given and go make disciples.

What if church is more like a greenhouse than a theater? 🌱

A theater is made for watching. A greenhouse is made for growing. 🌿 And everyone in it has a task: someone plants, someone waters, someone makes sure the door gets closed at night.

We live in a world that’s built around what we want, and it’s easy to carry that into Sundays without noticing. Some of us are just tired. Some of us have been burned before. 💔 Sitting on the sidelines can feel safer.

But we weren’t meant to grow alone, we were made to grow together. Going "Beyond Us" starts with realizing you have something to offer and that someone near you needs it. 🤝

So this week, ask yourself: where could I help something grow? 🌻 It can be small. Say hi to someone new 👋, join a team, invite a neighbor, check in on someone you haven't heard from in a while.

Jesus didn't chase reach. He spent three years investing deeply in twelve disciples, and they multiplied what they'd been given until it spread across the world.
Multiplication, not addition, is Jesus' plan for reaching the world.

Addition grows a crowd. Multiplication grows the Kingdom.

In 2 Timothy 2:2, Paul challenges Timothy to take what he has learned and invest it in others who will go on to teach others.

That's the power of multiplication! We're not just called to make disciples, but to make disciples who make disciples.

Addition makes an impact today. Multiplication makes an impact for generations.

Maybe you’re in a busy season. Maybe you’re in a good one that’s still somehow exhausting. Maybe it’s a little of everything. Whatever you’re walking through, you don’t have to carry it alone.🤍

That’s what being the church is all about. We’re not meant to do life by ourselves. We’re called to invest in people, walk alongside them, and help them follow Jesus. Who’s someone in your life who could use a text 💬, a chat over coffee ☕, or a prayer 🙏 this week? Connect with them.

As Paul reminds Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, the mission continues when faithful people invest in others.

🌍 Beyond Us, Week 3: Beyond Your Generation

Paul wrote this from a Roman prison, knowing he’d never meet the people his words would reach. 🕊️ He built the chain anyway: Paul ➡️ Timothy ➡️ reliable people ➡️ others.

And notice who he chose. Not the most gifted. Not the most impressive. The faithful ones. 🙌 The people who show up week after week and do the quiet, unglamorous work. Giftedness impresses, but faithfulness multiplies! 🌱

You’re not the destination of what God has given you. You’re the link. 🔗 💙

So here’s the question we left with Sunday: Who is your Timothy? 💭 Not a general “I should invest in people,” but one specific person God has already put in your life. 👇
