Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado The Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado (501c3) Honors Veterans & their Past | Present & Future Service.

The Plaza honors this service & this Great Nation & its Allies, for the Preservation & Protection of Freedom & Independence for All under its Flag Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado is a 3-acre, $1.2 mil open venue facility and grounds for regional and national Veterans events. The events celebrate and honor our past, present and military veterans and their service and their families as part of

that service. The Plaza undertakes a dozen major events each year at this central venue in addition to numerous events throughout the region with business, community and fellow veteran organization partners. In addition, the Plaza stood up a special Vet 2 Vet Emergency support fund launched during the Covid pandemic to assist Veterans, their families and organizations. The only fund of its kind in the region, it acts as a last resort safety net when other resources have been depleted in the region. A few examples of the Plaza's programs, events and activities:

- 3 acres Veterans venue within Spring Canyon Park in Fort Collins

- Hosts Memorial Day weekend ceremonies celebrating a different generation of veterans, annually. Attendance 10,000 to 30,000

- Hosts Vietnam Traveling Wall every other year at the Plaza |
Attendance 20,000 - 30,000

- Hosts multiple veteran centric events throughout the year for Vets including Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Veteran Picnic, and other special events.

- Supports educational outreach to schools, businesses, and civic organizations regarding service to the nation and community providing the Veteran Experience

- Offers financial help thru Vet 2 Vet Emergency Fund to veterans in need and veteran oriented organizations. Fund is privately funded thru business and private contributions.

- Plaza Veteran Displays including statues and electronic exhibits, contemplation areas and areas of respect for all who serve.

- Bronze statue of soldier holding a boy on his shoulders

- Bronze statue of a military working dog mourning the loss of his master

- Natural stone stage and stone & grass amphitheater for community use

- The Victory Garden contains over 200 soils from American battlefields around the world

- 80 family and individual dedicated shade trees honoring veteran service

- Extensive Stone pillars and winding walkways throughout the site

- 2 large LCD Screens - One will scroll down over 8,000 veteran's names. The other lists military service educational information.

- The Plaza Venue is available for use by the public and all military service and support organizations for their events and funding activities at no charge. Reservations are taken through the City of Fort Collins Parks Department.
