SAINT Volunteer Transportation SAINT volunteer drivers gave over 20,000 free rides to older adults and adults with disabilities in Fort Collins and Loveland, Colorado, in 2024.

Two weeks from Sunday, the Fort Collins Senior Center fills up with riders, drivers, sponsors, and neighbors for Saint’s Annual Celebration of Connection, and there’s a seat at the table with your name on it.

You’ll enjoy dinner, music, and a silent auction, and you’ll meet the people behind more than 21,000 free rides last year. Every ticket helps recruit and train the volunteer drivers who keep those rides free for neighbors who can’t drive.

Tickets are $50, or $35 for seniors, and the guest list is filling up. Grab yours today so you’re not left watching from the sidelines on Nov 1.

While you’re there, scroll to the very bottom of the homepage, because the Annual Celebration of Connection is just over two weeks away. On Sunday, Nov. 1, from 6 to 8 pm, riders, drivers, partners, and neighbors are gathering at the Fort Collins Senior Center for dinner, live music, and a silent auction.

This season, we’re raising the funds that keep every SAINT ride free next year, and it all starts with one evening in Fort Collins

On Sunday, November 1, the Celebration of Connection kicks off our year-end giving on the same day Colorado Gives opens for early giving. Every ticket, auction bid, and gift that night moves us closer to another year of more than 21,000 free rides for neighbors who can’t drive.

Behind every SAINT ride is a network of people committed to keeping our community connected.

Our dedicated staff members coordinate rides, support volunteers and keep our programs moving. Our Board of Directors helps guide our mission. And our incredible volunteer drivers turn that mission into action, giving their time and using their own vehicles to help older adults and people with disabilities maintain their independence and stay connected to the people, places, and activities that matter to them.

Together, they are the people behind SAINT, and connection is at the center of everything they do.

Our silent auction is coming together – themed gift baskets, a museum membership, even a weekend of pet sitting, all donated by people right here in Fort Collins and Loveland who believe in what SAINT does.

Since 1983, this has never been complicated: a neighbor needs a ride, another neighbor shows up. No agency, no fleet – just people using their own cars on their own time. What’s a small thing a neighbor has done for you that you never forgot?

Four years of Fridays. Little visits that have changed everything.

Sue has driven the same rider – 94 years old – most Friday afternoons for four years. Somewhere along the way, he started planning his errands around her schedule, just so their Friday conversations wouldn’t stop.

577 neighbors. 21,539 rides like this one this year alone.

Every SAINT ride starts with someone who gave up part of a Tuesday, their own car, and a little conversation for someone who needed it.

This year, 130 volunteer drivers gave 12,309 hours behind the wheel — worth an estimated $492,236 in donated time. But ask any of them why they keep doing it, and the math isn't the answer you get.
