For nearly four decades, H.L.F. Inc., The Children’s Workshop Early Learning Centers, now known as Kinder Care Learning Centers, has helped shape Northern Colorado's early childhood community.

Founded in 1988 by Joan and Lee Fetters, The Children’s Workshop grew to serve children and families through six centers, five in Larimer County (three in Fort Collins and two in Loveland) and one in Greeley. Over the years, the Fetters family not only cared for generations of children, but also strengthened the early childhood system through their partnership, leadership, and involvement in community work.

Today, we are honored to recognize H.L.F. Inc. as they close this chapter of their family’s work and generously invest in the next generation of children and families through a significant charitable contribution to Northern Colorado Kids Thrive.

This gift is more than a donation. It continues a legacy built on the belief that children and families deserve strong, supportive early learning opportunities.

We are especially grateful to Troy Fetters for carrying forward the vision of his parents, Joan and Lee, and for continuing to invest in the community his family has served for so many years.

From all of us at NoCo Kids Thrive, thank you, H.L.F. Inc., for your incredible generosity and for helping ensure that the legacy of The Children’s Workshop continues to make a difference for children and families across Northern Colorado.💜

Head Start makes a lasting difference for children and families in Colorado!

Please take a moment to add your voice and urge Congress to Protect Head Start. Protect Kids.💜

Protect Head Start. Protect Kids. 📣

Head Start helps more than ten thousand Colorado kids each year get a safe, strong start. But a newly proposed federal rule could roll back important protections around class sizes, staff-to-child ratios, staff qualifications, background checks, and more.

We're asking you to take action: submit our action alert and contact your member of Congress to urge them to protect Head Start and the children and families who rely on it.
