2025 marks a monumental milestone for the United States Marine Corps—its 250th anniversary, tracing back to the Corps’ founding in 1775 at Tun Tavern in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

For two and a half centuries, Marines have embodied an unwavering spirit of perseverance and tenacity, not only on our Nation’s battlefields, but also through their steadfast commitment to giving back. -- Through the Marine Toys for Tots Program, they bring joy to children in need, carrying the same unyielding dedication they show in battle into their support for communities.

As we commemorate this 250th year, we celebrate a legacy built on honor, courage, commitment, and pride.

In 2024, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation proudly upheld one of the highest program-to-support ratios in the nonprofit world — 98:2.

This means that 98% of every dollar donated goes directly to our mission of providing toys, books and other gifts to children in need. The remaining 2% covers essential fundraising expenses — not one donated dollar goes toward salaries. The interest and dividends from an endowment fund covers the manpower costs of our small staff.
