Thank you to everyone who took part in this important discussion. Opportunities like these help ensure that agriculture has a seat at the table and that the voices of our farmers, rural communities, and Farm Bureau members are heard.

Wayne County Farm Bureau did an awesome job bringing together current elected officials and endorsed candidates running for office!

Thank you to Reps. Jim DeSana, Stephanie Young and Veronica Paiz, along with candidates Laura Perry and Matthew Stafford, who are both running for open Michigan House seats. A staff member from Rep. Donavan McKinney’s office also attended.

The conversation covered important issues for Michigan agriculture, including access to resources for beginning farmers, local control of renewable energy projects, and the potential impacts of large-scale development on local water and energy usage.

A great opportunity to connect and make sure agriculture’s voice is heard!
