Ally Jolie Baldwin Foundation AJBF was started by the friends and family of Ally Jolie Baldwin.

The Ally Jolie Baldwin Foundation (“AJBF”) is a Michigan non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting cancer research, educational activities, and patient care support at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and its sister children’s hospitals in other cities in the United States, particularly in the areas of childhood lymphoma and bone marrow transplantation. Ally was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma on October 4, 2010 and bravely fought against the disease, together with her parents and the staff at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, until her death on April 5, 2012. Those that knew Ally and her parents, Brad and Tamara, were touched forever by Ally’s amazing bravery and spirit, and the AJBF is dedicated to preserving that memory by helping other children battling against childhood cancer.

A Heartfelt Thank You as We Close the Ally Jolie Baldwin Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation.

Last evening was a very emotional and meaningful night as we presented our final check to the Children’s Foundation of Michigan in the amount of $86,072. This final donation will support pediatric cancer research and the Child Life Endowment, helping children and families facing one of the most difficult journeys imaginable.
Over the years, the Ally Jolie Baldwin Foundation has donated more than $250,000 to help in the fight against childhood cancer and to provide support and hope to children and their families. Knowing that these funds will continue to make a difference is something we will always be incredibly proud of.

With that, we officially bring the Ally Jolie Baldwin Foundation to a close. It is, without question, with a very heavy heart that we close this chapter. What began with a desire to make a difference became a journey filled with incredible people, generosity, compassion, and memories that will stay with us forever.
Although the Foundation is ending, our commitment is not. We will always remain passionate about supporting children and families affected by cancer and doing whatever we can to help in the fight to defeat childhood cancer.

I want to extend my deepest and most sincere gratitude to our Board of Directors. Thank you for your time, dedication, guidance, and countless hours of work. Your commitment helped make the Ally Jolie Baldwin Foundation the success that it became, and I will forever be grateful for each of you.

And finally, to every person, family, friend, business, and organization who donated, supported an event, shared our mission, or simply believed in what we were trying to accomplish — THANK YOU. Your generosity made all of this possible. Every dollar raised represented hope, compassion, and an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child and their family.
While the Foundation may have come to an end, Ally’s legacy of love, compassion, and helping others will continue.

Two days before Ally left us, she could barely breathe. She hadn’t eaten or had water, yet she hugged me patted me on my back and said, “Daddy, are you okay?”

In that moment, i thought are you serious God and at that point I realized what a beautiful and true soul she was. Here was my little girl, facing more than anyone should, and her only concern was for someone else, for her daddy, who was healthy, breathing, able to eat and drink, experience life a lot longer…

I remember thinking, Jesus what did I do to deserve such a beautiful daughter? (It was a lesson, a very hard one especially for Ally)

In her almost three years of life, Ally never thought of herself first. She cared about others, especially her mommy and daddy. Even in her hardest moments, she showed love, kindness, and selflessness beyond her years.

Thank you, Ally and thank you, Lord for putting life into perspective and for blessing us with a love so pure it will stay with us forever. I hope this true story helps you and others, when I think I have it bad at times, I think of the above and always say to myself, stop feeling bad for yourself, it’s all good…

It is with a heavy heart that I share this update, as it feels like another loss in our journey. We will be officially closing the foundation this year.

I want to thank every single person who has contributed, supported, volunteered, and stood beside us. Because of you, the foundation has been a tremendous success. Together, we will be donating more than $85,000 to the Children’s Foundation to support pediatric care programs and research focused on the type of cancer Ally faced. None of this would have been possible without your kindness and generosity, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to all members of our Board of Directors for standing by us from the very beginning through to the end of this chapter.

Although the foundation is closing, my work is not done. I will continue dedicating my energy to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and to research focused on Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, bone marrow transplants, and graft-versus-host disease.

Ally was a blessing on this earth for the short time we were able to hold her here. She has touched my life and the lives of so many others in countless ways. She is not gone she is in Heaven and forever in our hearts.

I love you forever, Ally and can't wait to see you again!!! Love Daddy!!
