Two days before Ally left us, she could barely breathe. She hadn’t eaten or had water, yet she hugged me patted me on my back and said, “Daddy, are you okay?”
In that moment, i thought are you serious God and at that point I realized what a beautiful and true soul she was. Here was my little girl, facing more than anyone should, and her only concern was for someone else, for her daddy, who was healthy, breathing, able to eat and drink, experience life a lot longer…
I remember thinking, Jesus what did I do to deserve such a beautiful daughter? (It was a lesson, a very hard one especially for Ally)
In her almost three years of life, Ally never thought of herself first. She cared about others, especially her mommy and daddy. Even in her hardest moments, she showed love, kindness, and selflessness beyond her years.
Thank you, Ally and thank you, Lord for putting life into perspective and for blessing us with a love so pure it will stay with us forever. I hope this true story helps you and others, when I think I have it bad at times, I think of the above and always say to myself, stop feeling bad for yourself, it’s all good…
