Northland Family Help Center is honored to be selected as a 2026 Community Impact Grant recipient by OneAZ Credit Union and the OneAZ Community Foundation, receiving a $7,500 award in celebration of OneAZ’s 75th anniversary of serving Arizonans. Since 2016, the OneAZ Community Foundation has provided more than $3.5 million in funding to nonprofits working to strengthen communities across Arizona. This year, $360,000 in Community Impact Grants were distributed to 48 local nonprofits - thanks to OneAZ members who support their communities with every swipe. Each purchase contributes one penny to the OneAZ Community Foundation to help fund grants like ours. This generous support allows Northland Family Help Center to continue making an impact through our mission to provide safe haven, advocacy, counseling, and education to promote and restore healthy relationships.

NFHC’s Transitional Living Program was fortunate to have Sage Holloran, an NAU social work intern, with us during Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. She will be graduating this May! The TLP team would like to extend a big THANK YOU for all the work Sage contributed to our program. She worked closely with our team to develop participants’ progression through the program, created survey tools for program data collection, and supported youth in our community through tMHFA. Sage, we appreciate all you did during your internship, and we wish you the very best as you begin your next journey!

Thank you to everyone who showed up and helped make our Denim Day walk a success! Last week we gathered with community members and partners to stand against victim blaming. We had parents, friends, children, providers, and even dogs join together in honor of every person affected by sexual violence. Together we can end violence in all forms.
Thank you to our partners at Northern Arizona Care and Services After Assault (NACASA), Victim Witness , and Sharon Manor for sharing their services and helping to plan events like these! 👖🩵

We invite you to join us for a walk next week at Buffalo Park for National Denim Day. Wear your denim in support of victims and survivors and gather in community.
Denim Day supports victims of sexual violence and works to eliminate victim blaming. On this day, we wear denim to bring attention to the case of a survivor who experienced victim-blaming and did not receive justice for many years. To read more about the history of this national awareness day, visit denimday.org.

We invite you to join us and our partners Sharon Manor, Victim Witness, and Northern Arizona Care and Services After Assault (NACASA) for a walk at Buffalo Park on April 29, 2026 from 5-7pm. All are welcome!

We invite you to join us for two installations of the Clothesline Project this Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Clothesline Project is an art installation designed to bring awareness to domestic violence or intimate partner violence. Individuals impacted by these issues have made T-shirts expressing their emotions or experiences to bring real meaning to violence statistics. These shirts are created by local survivors and their loved ones. We invite you to join us and our partners Sharon Manor Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona, Victim Witness Victim Witness Services for Northern Arizona, and Northern Arizona Care and Services After Assault (NACASA) to view the displays at the Flagstaff Downtown Library 4/15 11-2 & 4/22 at CCC Lonetree outside room 462. Sharon’s Attic Sharon's Attic Thrift Store will also be featuring the display this month.

Northland Family Help Center is heartbroken by the tragic loss of two Department of Public Safety staff members this week following a response to a domestic violence call.

We extend our deepest condolences to their families, loved ones, and colleagues, and we hold the entire law enforcement community close as they grieve this unimaginable loss.

Moments like this remind us how much our community relies on those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect others. We stand in solidarity with our partners and remain committed to supporting safety, healing, and compassion for all.
