Some thank-yous are about more than one grant or one year.

We are incredibly grateful to Arizona Community Foundation and the foundations that chose to invest in The Literacy Center this year. Many have been longtime partners in our work, and that continued support has helped us grow, respond to changing needs, and keep showing up for our community year after year.

About 60% of TLC's funding comes directly from individual donors, including those who choose us for their Arizona Charitable Tax Credit. The remaining 40% must come from grants, fundraising, and other community support.

That means our work is truly sustained by a community of people and organizations who believe that literacy, education, and access to trusted immigration legal services matter.

A grant isn't just a check to us. It's stability. It's the ability to plan ahead. It's a tutor sitting beside a learner. A child going home with a book. Someone working toward their GED. A new English speaker finding their confidence. A person preparing for citizenship. A family getting access to immigration legal services close to home.

To ACF and the foundations that continue to stand alongside The Literacy Center: thank you for being part of this work and part of our story.

Your investment helps make it possible for us to be here when our community needs us. ๐Ÿ’›

We are so sad to hear about the passing of Dolly Parton. ๐Ÿ’›

Dolly understood something we believe deeply at The Literacy Center. Literacy changes lives.

Through her Imagination Library, she put millions of books into the hands of children and helped make reading and books accessible to families everywhere.

What an incredible legacy to leave behind. Thank you, Dolly. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’›

A special shoutout to Pizzicletta, Mother Road Brewing Company, Groove Tractor, and all of the incredible local businesses, artists, and community members who donated and helped make this event possible.

Support literacy and citizenship in our community. The world could use a little more good right nowโ€”and what better way than good food, good music, and good community?

BtP is hosting its annual Block Party in support of The Literacy Center on Friday, 8/21, from 6โ€“9 p.m. Join us at 606 N. Beaver Street for food from Pizzicletta, drinks from Mother Road (including NA options), and live local music from the one and only Groove Tractor.

And thereโ€™s more! Bid on silent auction items from some of your favorite Flagstaff businessesโ€”all while supporting a great cause.

All proceeds support The Literacy Centerโ€™s adult literacy and citizenship programs. Come have some fun, connect with our community, and help make a little more good happen right here in Flagstaff.

A big thank you to Cassidy Motahari and Arizona PBS for spending the day at The Literacy Center to film an upcoming story about the naturalization process.

We were honored to share our work and introduce two incredible members of our team: David, who volunteers as a Civics & Citizenship instructor, and Grace, Director of our Immigration Legal Services Program.

As the only organization in Northern Arizona offering low-cost immigration legal services, we are proud to help individuals and families navigate the path to citizenship while also providing citizenship education and support.
Thank you, Arizona PBS, for helping shine a light on this important work and the difference it makes in our community.

If youโ€™d like to be part of this work, we need you. Whether you make a donation or volunteer your time, your support helps us continue serving our neighbors and expanding access to literacy, education, citizenship, and immigration legal services.

We are incredibly grateful to Flagstaff Episcopal Church of the Epiphany for their donation in support of The Literacy Center's Northern Arizona Immigration Legal Services (NAILS) program.
It was a pleasure to welcome Rev. Janetta Beaumont and Rev. Shane Carlson to The Literacy Center as they presented this meaningful gift. Their support helps ensure that individuals and families throughout Northern Arizona have access to trusted, affordable immigration legal services, including citizenship assistance, DACA renewals, family petitions, and other critical legal support.
Community partnerships like this make a lasting difference, and we are honored to work alongside organizations that believe everyone deserves access to justice, opportunity, and hope.
Thank you, Flagstaff Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Rev. Beaumont, and Rev. Carlson, for your generosity and partnership. ๐Ÿ’™
