How our volunteers celebrated this year 🪚🌲

Our volunteer crew in Inyo National Forest spent last week completing backcountry trail maintenance, including using crosscut saws to remove downed trees from the trail. 💪 No better way to celebrate our public lands than giving back!

We're excited to share photos from our project last week in New River Gorge National Park & Preserve in West Virginia! Our volunteer crew successfully rebuilt a section of the popular Castle Rock Trail - and it looks awesome! Great work, everyone! 👏👏

Some of our self-proclaimed “Wood Elves” on our Wupatki & Sunset Crater Volcano National Monuments project 🪵🧝

Part of last week’s project involved collecting woody debris that fell during the 2022 Tunnel Fire to use in future restoration projects. Woody debris acts as a natural seed collector, water conductor, and mulch to help native seeds flourish. 🌿

Our first of two all-women's projects this year was in City of Rocks National Reserve in southern Idaho, building new trails to provide access to a newly-developed rock climbing area! 🧗‍♀️ We were proud to offer five scholarships to expand access to stewardship opportunities.
