Thanks to the 58 folks that came out today to help with new trail construction as part of the base elden loops with the U.S. Forest Service - Coconino National Forest Flagstaff Ranger District (FRD) trail crew! These new trails will help organize the high number of unauthorized trails in the area as well as providing a quality system of loop trails with important connections to the proposed Elden Base Urban Trail and help with easier neighborhood access. This effort is part of the awesome Mt. Elden / Dry Lake Hills Recreation Planning Project https://www.fs.usda.gov/r03/coconino/projects/38239
Flagline Trails and the Flagstaff Trail Faeries also pitched in. KickStand donated coffee to get us fired up, Fratelli Pizza provided lunch, and Nackard Pepsi kicked in with cold beverages!
Don't worry if you missed it! The next trail day is August 22, also on the base elden loop system.
Thank you to the 2026 Trail Program Sponsors!
