Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for Women in Philanthropy: Giving with Purpose.

Led by CFNCM Director of Philanthropy Erin Thomason, this event brought together community members, advisors, nonprofit leaders, and philanthropists for an evening of thoughtful conversation about giving, leadership, and community impact.

Together, we discussed practical tools for charitable giving, ways to align philanthropy with personal values and financial goals, and how women are increasingly shaping the future of philanthropy through their leadership, influence, and generosity.

This conversation comes at an important moment. By 2030, women are expected to control much of the estimated $30 trillion wealth transfer underway in the United States. As that shift continues, so too does the opportunity for women to help direct resources toward the causes, organizations, and communities they care about most.

A special thank you to our incredible panelists, Allison Gormier, Leslie Garrison, Erin McBee, and Shannon Ouellette, for sharing their expertise and perspectives. Their insights helped spark meaningful discussion around charitable planning, financial decision-making, legacy, and community impact.

We are also grateful to everyone who attended, asked questions, shared experiences, and contributed to the conversation. Events like this are a reminder that philanthropy is not reserved for a select few. It is about people coming together around the causes and communities they care about.

Most importantly, this is just the beginning.

Women in Philanthropy is intended to be an ongoing series that creates space for learning, connection, and meaningful conversations about giving. Whether you're already deeply engaged in philanthropy or simply beginning to explore how you can make a difference, we welcome the opportunity to connect you with the causes and organizations working every day to strengthen North Central Massachusetts.

Thank you for being part of the conversation. We look forward to continuing it together.
