Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. The American artist, Willie Cole’s artwork, “American Domestic,” references both the painting, “American Gothic” by Grant Wood which famously depicts midwestern farmers, and Dan masks from the Ivory Coast in Africa. Through juxtaposing these different art forms, Cole demonstrates the unique culture created by African Americans. Visit us on Juneteenth to see "American Domestic," on display in “Kaleidoscope”!

100 years of art, community, and belief — and you're part of the story.

One century ago, Eleanor Norcross dreamed of an art museum for Fitchburg. Today, that dream is more alive than ever — with galleries filled floor to ceiling in our landmark Centennial exhibition Kaleidoscope, neighbors and families walking through our doors free of charge, and a community showing up in numbers we've never seen before.

This is what 100 years of your support looks like.

As we close out FY2026, we need your help to finish strong and meet our Centennial year goal. Every gift moves us forward — sustaining free admission, dynamic exhibitions, and educational programming that belongs to this whole community. Gifts of all sizes make a difference, and if you're considering a monthly gift, a DAF, or an IRA charitable rollover, these can stretch your impact even further — and offer meaningful tax advantages too.
