The 18th Annual Amazing Duck Race is coming to Riverfront Park on Boulder Drive on Saturday, July 11th from 12pm to 3pm, and ducks are available now!

This is one of the quackiest ways to support Fitchburg Civic Days, and every duck adoption helps fund the Civic Days Summer Classic events that bring our community together. ❤️

Duck entries:
🦆= 1 Duck - $5
🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆= Flock of 5 Ducks - $20
🦆x13= Fleet of 13 Ducks - $50

And the prizes are worth racing for:
🏆 1st Place - $1,000
🥈 2nd Place - $750
🥉 3rd Place - $500
🏁 4th Place - $250
🦆 5th Place - $100

Plus… this year features the $25,000 Lucky Duck! 💰🦆

Here is how it works: one Lucky “25K” Duck number will be randomly selected in advance and sealed in a Master Envelope. After the race, the first duck to cross the finish line will be announced and recorded. Then the envelope will be opened. If the first-place duck matches the Lucky Duck number, that duck wins the $25,000 Grand Prize!🏎️🦆

🎆 Fitchburg Civic Days is free for the public, but it is powered by people and businesses who choose to invest in our community. 🎆

Every summer, thousands of residents, families, visitors, and local businesses come together for the Fitchburg Civic Days Summer Classic, one of our city’s largest and most loved traditions.

From the Block Party and Fireworks to the 4th of July Parade, the Amazing Duck Race, the Brewers Festival, and the WooSox Town Takeover, these events create memories, support local pride, and bring people into the heart of Fitchburg.

The 2026 Fitchburg Civic Days Summer Classic is planning for hometown fun, community pride, and our Civic traditions since 1960🐥🇺🇸🎆

From the Brewers Festival, to the Block Party and fireworks, our 4th of July Parade, WooSox Fitchburg Town Takeover, to the Amazing Duck Race... this series brings together so many of the things that make Fitchburg special. Families, friends, local businesses, volunteers, music, food, celebration, and plenty of civic spirit all packed into one stretch of summer.

A few of these events are huge for our community. The Brewers Festival brings more than 1,500 attendees to Riverfront Park... the Block Party and fireworks draw more than 25,000 people downtown... our 4th of July Parade is the largest in Central Massachusetts... and the Amazing Duck Race brings thousands of people to Riverfront Park for a day that is always a lot of fun for kids and families. This year’s parade theme, “Celebrating America’s 250th,” adds more excitement to an event that is already one of Fitchburg’s proudest traditions.

So save the dates, invite your people, and plan to spend some time with us this summer. Whether you come for the beer, the bands, the baseball, the parade, the fireworks, or the ducks... there is something here for everyone. 💙❤️🐥
