🍂🎨 CREATIVITY, COMMUNITY & A WHOLE LOT OF FUN! 🎃🌻

The crafting booth at A Red Circle Nonprofit Organization 2nd Annual Harvest Hootenanny was an absolute BLAST! ❤️

We loved seeing so many neighbors and friends come together to embrace their creativity, make memories, and enjoy the power of creative community! From wreath-making and painting pictures to decorating pumpkins, there was no shortage of artistic expression and autumn fun! 🍁🖌️

But the best part? 🥹❤️ Hearing community members share how therapeutic they found the activities to be! Moments like these remind us that art is more than something beautiful we create. Art can be an outlet for self-expression, a source of relaxation, a way to connect with others, and an opportunity to nurture our well-being.

🎨✨ ART CLUB AT Ferguson Middle School HAS BEEN A BLAST! ✨🎨

The Creative Spot had an amazing time representing at Ferguson Middle School’s Fall Festival! 💖 We loved connecting with students, families, teachers, staff, and the broader school community while sharing our programs, resources, and the power of creative exploration!

And of course, we had to bring the creativity! 🌀🎨 The students in Art Club had a blast enjoying our hydro-dipping activity, exploring their creativity, experimenting with colors, and making something uniquely their own! Seeing their excitement and watching them create memories together is what it’s all about! 🥰

But did you know that after-school art club offers so much more than just a fun activity? 👀

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fridays at the Spot is making room for creativity, connection, and community! 🌸

We're inviting fighters, survivors, supporters, caregivers, and allies to come explore the power of art as a way to express yourself, reflect, release stress, and connect with others.

Inspired by Healing Through the Arts from Surviving Breast Cancer, we're celebrating all the ways creativity can become part of our self-care journey. 💕

✨ Come explore art as a way to:
🎨 Express feelings through color, painting, and creative projects.
📝 Write, journal, or tell your story in your own words.
🪞 Reflect on your identity, experiences, and personal growth.
🌳 Create symbols of resilience, hope, gratitude, and new beginnings.

I first heard of this incredible project last summer when a participant invited us to her cover issue signing! Since then Larry Rodgers, producer of Young People Moving ForWord Magazine and founder of ForWord Books has been an avid supporter of our organization. Uplifting and giving back to the young people of our community truly takes a village!
