The Initiative enhances health and wellness in tribal communities by advancing healthy food systems, diversified economic development and cultural food traditionsheritage in Indian Country. We empower tribal governments, farmers, ranchers and food businesses by providing strategic planning and technical assistance; by creating new academic and professional executive education programs in food syst

ems and agriculture; and by increasing student enrollment in land grant universities in food and agricultural related disciplines.

📢 Attention Muscogee Nation Ag Producers & Citizens! 🌾🐂

The nomination period is officially open now for farmers and ranchers to serve on local USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committees!

Crucial Update for Tribal Nations:

Members and citizens of federally recognized tribes possess unique eligibility advantages. If your voting eligibility is based on land that is tribally owned or held in trust by the United States, you are automatically considered an agricultural landowner. This means you qualify to vote and run for these committees even if you do not personally produce an agricultural commodity on that land.

These committees make critical decisions on how federal farm programs are run locally. Make sure our reservation's voice is heard!

📅 Deadline:
Submit or postmark your nomination packet by August 3, 2026.

How to Apply:

📥 Download: Get your nomination packet instantly at [fsa.usda.gov/coc](https://www.fsa.usda.gov/)

✍️ Nominate:
You can nominate yourself or another eligible local producer.

🏢 Submit:
Turn it in to your local FSA office before the deadline.

Let's ensure strong representation for our tribal agricultural community! ✊🏽🌾
