Our donation drive was a success!

We were able to raise close to $1400 in clothes and cash donations that all went to the Fargo VA!

Thank you to everyone who came out to help and thank you to Red River Cards and Collectibles Club for hosting us.

Fargo VA Thanks Disabled American Veterans - DAV Francis J. Beaton Chapter 1 for Supporting Veterans in Need

The Fargo VA's Center for Development & Civic Engagement (CDCE) would like to extend a special "Thank You!" to the dedicated members of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter #1 in Fargo, North Dakota, for organizing an emergent-needs clothing drive to support Veterans in need.

In partnership with Red River Cards and Collectibles, DAV hosted a donation drive during a card convention held at the Ramada Inn on October 10. Throughout the event, community members donated more than $400 worth of hats, gloves, jackets, socks, and underwear for Veterans experiencing emergent needs.

Additionally, Commander Ian Anderson presented the Fargo VA with a $559 check from the cash donations to help purchase additional emergent-needs items for Veterans.

DAV Chapter 1 North Dakota is partnering with Red River Cards and Collectibles Club on October 10th for a donation drive. This will be for winter clothing such as hats, gloves, jackets, etc.

These donations will be given to the Fargo VA and donated to veterans in need.

So if you can, come stop by our table on October 10th at the Ramada Inn on 13th in Fargo!

🇺🇸🕊 DAV Wisconsin solemnly announces the passing of Al Labelle, a distinguished advocate, trusted leader, and unwavering voice for the veterans of our state and nation. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends as we join them in mourning the loss of a man whose service and spirit shaped the very fabric of our organization.

Al’s legacy within the DAV is profound. As a cornerstone of DAV’s legislative efforts, he dedicated countless hours to advancing policies that protected and uplifted those who served. His work at the US Capitol and the State of Wisconsin Legislature —meeting with lawmakers, testifying on critical issues, and championing legislation that strengthened veterans’ benefits—was marked by clarity, conviction, and an unshakeable commitment to justice. Al understood that advocacy was not merely a duty but a calling, and he answered that call with unmatched passion.

His leadership helped secure meaningful improvements in healthcare access, disability compensation, and support services for our nation’s veterans.

He ensured that the voices of those who sacrificed for our nation were heard, respected, and acted upon. His influence will continue to guide our legislative mission for years to come.

Beyond his policy achievements, Al was known for his kindness, his humor, and love for his Boston Red Sox. He inspired others to serve, to speak up, and to lead with heart. His absence leaves a void felt deeply throughout DAV.
