El Zagal Shrine - Arab Patrol The Arab Patrol of El Zagal Temple The Arab Patrol is proud of being the second oldest unit in all of Shrinedome.

The Arab Patrol of El Zagal Temple was organized in the year 1893; just four years after El Zagal Shrine received its charter. Since the beginning of the Arab Patrol has had many different Fezzes. At first they unit was formed as a unit of instructors to perform many duties in the initiation of the Shrine which El Zagal's 57 Directors Staff handle today. In 1907 the Arab Patrol was formed into a s

ound marching unit. 1993 was the last year people would hear the big bass drums perform as the unit switched from a marching band to a Model-A jumping car. Several Noblemen came up with ideas to have mini Model-A go carts the popped wheelies along side the large Model-A and after great feed back 5 more jumper cars were made. Today there are about 54 Arab Patrol members and we still have the large Model-A jumper along with 5 mini jumper cars, 1 standard go-cart that flies the colors of the Shrine and the United States flag.

Let's get back to every day living. Come on out and support those cool little red jumping karts and the Model T jumper at parades. Get a hold of an Arab Patrol member for tickets, you can find them at El Zagal's office and bar or at the door on the day of the event.
