Hi, I’m Fritz! I’m a gentle 2-year-old shepherd mix (68 lbs) with a sweet soul and zero drama. I get along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, but life outside the shelter is still brand new to me—so things like stairs, TVs, and busy households can make me a little shy.

I won’t jump right into your lap on day one, but if you give me a little patience and time to build confidence, I’ll reward you with unwavering loyalty and quiet companionship. If you're ready to celebrate the small victories together, I might just be your perfect match!

It's hard to believe I almost didn't make it. I’m a one-year-old, 30 lb rescue saved on the exact day I was scheduled to be euthanized, and I absolutely love being alive.

Known as Jumping Bean, I'm a goofy, affectionate pup who loves kids, other dogs, chasing balls, and playing with toys until it's time to melt into your lap for naps. I'm also super smart and treat-motivated—I already know sit, down, stay, come, spin, paw, place, crate, and free!

🐾 Paws up, everyone—I officially found my forever home!

It’s true! At 10 years young and 7 pounds light, I have finally landed the ultimate gig. Don’t let my senior status or tiny frame fool you—I’ve got enough s***k and charm packed inside me to fill an entire house, and now I have the perfect place to show it all off. 🏡

My absolute favorite spot in the whole wide world is wherever my human happens to be. Whether we are heading out on exciting daily adventures, cozying up side-by-side on the couch, or just following each other from room to room, I am going to be right there soaking up every single bit of love and attention I can get.

Thank you to everyone who cared for me, cheered me on, and helped me find my way to this exact moment. 🩵

Pepper has been waiting. ❤️

At just 5 years old, this sweet Terrier mix has already spent far too much of her life waiting for her happily ever after. Pepper was rescued from Devore alongside her best friend, Chalupa. 🐾

Chalupa found her person, and while we couldn’t be happier for her, Pepper is still patiently waiting for someone to see what we see in her. 🥺❤️

She’s one of our longest residents, and we know her forever family is out there. Maybe they’re reading this right now. Maybe it’s you. 🏡

Pepper deserves a family who will choose her, love her, and never make her wait again.

Fear Didn't Define Him. ❤️🐾

Tac made history as Homebound Hounds' very first official rescue from an LA City shelter—and we hope he's just the first of many as we continue building the capacity to save even more dogs.

When Tac landed on the euthanasia list, it wasn't because he was aggressive. It was because he was scared.

Like so many dogs before him, all he needed was what overcrowded shelters often can't provide: time, patience, and someone willing to believe in him.

That someone was his incredible foster.

Thank you for saying "yes" when Tac needed you most. You didn't just save his life—you showed him that people could be trusted, helped him gain the confidence he'd never had, and ultimately introduced him to the person who would become his forever mama.

Because of your compassion, Tac's story didn't end in a shelter kennel. It began.

To Tac's forever family: thank you for seeing the amazing dog hiding behind the fear. We know his best adventures are still ahead.

Happy forever, Tac. ❤️ Here's to the first LA City rescue of many.
