Saint Catherine Center Day Support is a certified program by the CT Department of Developmental Services. This program is designed to reinforce life skills with an emphasis on community access and vocational skills. Our specialized, values-enriched environment provides resources and services to develop the personal strengths of each person leading to personal fulfillment. We are seeking to create

an environment that supports the mission for individuals with disabilities to participate in community life, to make personal choices about their own future; to develop and maintain relationships with family and peers and to be treated and treat others with dignity and respect.

Together with our young adults, they cleaned up our outdoor gardens and courtyard and planted vegetables in the raised garden beds. A trip to the movies made for an exciting day out! Our young adults headed out to see the new Super Mario movie and had a great time enjoying the adventure on the big screen. We stuck around after the movie to enjoy lunch in the food court. We enjoy getting out into the community and experiencing fun outings.

Through a variety of vocational training opportunities, they take on meaningful tasks such as cleaning, stocking, organizing shelves, and more. By using the skills they practice every day, they build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of purpose—all while making a positive impact in their community.
