Meet Our Leadership Team! 🎉
What do they do? The better question might be: What don't they do?
Our leadership team is involved in every aspect of our organization, making a difference across all of our programs and services. Jessica oversees our truancy, therapy, day education, and residential programs, ensuring they run smoothly and continue to provide the best possible support to those we serve. Kelly, our Executive Director, leads the organization as a whole, providing guidance, support, and vision while making sure everything operates effectively behind the scenes.

It’s Meet the Staff Monday

Meet Bobby he has been part of the UMYH team for nine years, starting as a Residential Counselor and now serving as our Lead Day Education Instructor. He works to help the youth obtain their HSE (high school equivalency) . He is also one our CPR instructors. One of his favorite memories is running into a former resident who felt he didn’t make much head way with during their time at UMYH at the mall. This youth unexpectedly shouted “Bobby” and ran up to give him a hug—a reminder that the impact we have isn't always visible right away. Outside of UMYH, Bobby is a former martial arts instructor and enjoys studying theology and church history. Thank you, Bobby, for your dedication and commitment to the youth we serve!

Our Executive Director, Kelly Salee, had the opportunity to attend the IARCA - Indiana Association of Resources and Child Advocacy Leadership Retreat this week! She enjoyed connecting with Sean McCrindle, CEO of Bashor Children's Home, and Rich Lapinski, CEO of Indiana United Methodist Children's Home, Inc.

We love building relationships with fellow United Methodist youth homes across Indiana and learning from one another as we work together to support the youth. Thank you to IARCA for providing this valuable opportunity for connection and collaboration!

It's Meet the Team Tuesday!
This week is our Truancy Team!
What is the Truancy Program?
The Truancy Intervention Program is an intensive home, school, and community intervention program for truant and high-risk school age youth. This program is used to prevent further truancy, improve academic progress, increase parent engagement, and increase community involvement. This a home and community based service.

That’s a wrap on our 2026 Block Party: Grand Opening Edition! 🎉

We want to extend a huge thank-you to Diane Schroeder for helping make our Health and Wellness Building possible. We are also incredibly grateful to every donor and volunteer who supported this project along the way. Your generosity, dedication, and hard work helped bring this vision to life.

We had an absolute blast seeing our community come together to celebrate this special milestone. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so memorable. We look forward to continuing to serve and grow with this amazing community for years to come!

It's Meet the Staff Monday! 🎉
Meet Hannah, our Development Officer. She has been at UMYH for about 2 months now. Her job involves handling donor relations and cultivation. She says her favorite thing about the job has been connecting with people. When she isn't working, she spends most of her time with her dog Lefty, hanging out at the pool listening to Taylor Swift, watching all of her niece and nephew's events, and spending time with her family.
