Meet the Oyster Fest Kittens!
Trapped under a shed surrounded by dogs on the eve of Oyster Fest, these kittens are lucky to now call the clinic (temporary) home!
Last week a community member reached out, about some kittens under their shed who were constantly surrounded by the dogs that lived in their backyard. We were able to safely rescue the kittens and their feral Mamma, and bring them to the clinic in the hopes of a new life. The kittens needed a little TLC after living under a shed for the first month of their life but are otherwise healthy! They are still a little too small to be spayed and neutered but while they wait we are getting them more and more socialized each day!

If you are looking for a new furry family member, applications are open for these fuzzy babies! We have a $150 adoption fee covers medical care we provide including testing for FeLV/FIV, spaying or neutering, initial vaccinations, microchipping, flea treatments and deworming.

Applications for the Oyster Fest Kittens can be filled out here: https://forms.gle/Z226C6Qb2spRE7mE8

If you would like to donate towards these kittens care, and other kittens we help out during kitten season, we are in need of pellet litter and kitten food!

*FERAL FUND IN ACTION!*
This feral kitten was driven all the way up from Mendocino to get fixed today! Sadly she was too small to undergo surgery today but the visit wasn't a waste! We noticed she had one eye entirely crusted shut and looked like she was battling an upper respiratory infection. The trapper let us know they'd be able to give her medications, but were unsure about the cost for a full exam and treatment.
Luckily this is when our donation based Feral Fund was able to step in and assist! The kitten received a full exam, an antibiotic injection, and an eye ointment to take home.
This kitten will be getting a second chance at life and might even be able to be adopted out down in Mendocino once she's spayed!

Swipe through to see the 3 week progress of these sick kittens!
These two kittens and their Momma were found on someone's porch 3 weeks ago. They were obviously sick and one kitten had sadly already died and was laying nearby the rest of the family on the porch.
The gentleman who found them posted on facebook for someone to come get them and one of our community volunteers stepped into action immediately! The very next day the kittens (and mamma) were in our clinic getting exams, treatments, food, and of course, some cuddles!
The kittens looked, for lack of a better word, terrible. Their eyes were barely open, one of them could hardly breathe at all, and they were practically skin and bones. Their mom looked okay, seemed healthy, but definitely concerned for her kittens.
In just 3 weeks the kittens have put on weight, their eyes have cleared up, they can breathe properly, and the kittens are finally acting like kittens and are non-stop playing all day!

The treatments for these kittens are only possible thanks to donations to our Feral Fund. Please consider making a tax deductible donation towards life saving treatments such as the ones these kittens received:

*PLANKTON UPDATE*
Plankton has a place to call home and his new name is Pickles! (check out the 2nd and 3rd photos to see how far we've come from his first visit)

Pickles eye has been looking great and the person that found him had so many people interested in him she thought it was finally time he got a new home! Pickles being the confident, chatty guy that he is has settled nicely with two new siblings to play with!

Without our amazing support from the community, who knows what would have happened to Pickles. Your donations provided life saving care that saved his eye and gave him this second shot at life!

Thank you to the amazing volunteers who caught, cared for, treated, and adopted out Pickles!
