FDA announces approval of new Hepatitis D medical treatment:

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Hepcludex (bulevirtide-gmod) injection to treat chronic hepatitis delta virus (HDV) infection in adults without cirrhosis (advanced liver scarring) or with compensated cirrhosis.

I am gobsmacked by the extraordinary panel of speakers that the Humboldt Senior Resource Center assembled for today’s 2026 Supporting Healthy Aging conference. 25 Years ago, Lonny Nolta and the Residential Care Society partnered with Chuck Frady, my business partner at Quest for Excellence and me to launch Conference 2000 in Honolulu. Our two nonprofit organizations returned to the Hawaiian Islands each year, with mid-year conferences in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, San Diego, and Fresno. We transitioned to conference cruises from 2012 onward. My very dear friend, Lonny "Lola" ascended in 2003, followed by Chuck in 2016. Wonderful memories. Stay tuned for news of our next educational event!
