Bags of Love is committed to helping children in crisis. A Bag of Love provides a sense of security and hope to a child experiencing poverty, affected by abuse or neglect, moving into foster care, or dealing with the aftermath of a natural disaster. It gives a child a sense of security and comfort, a “security blanket” to hold onto at what may be the worst point in his or her young life. A Bag of
Love is a ray of hope in a time of crisis. It's a care package of age-appropriate necessities and comfort items such as clothing, toiletries, toys, and a handmade quilt or blanket. Since 2008, Bags of Love has provided support to 27,000 children in need. In our first full year of operation, we distributed 208 bags; by 2022, that number had grown to over 4,600. We work with more than 100 local social service organizations, school districts, and government agencies to get Bags of Love into the hands of the children who need them.
