We’ve purchased a building and launched our Capital Campaign, Build a Community Food Hub, to help grow what this work can reach. This expansion will double our space, increase our capacity by at least 25%, and strengthen how we store and handle fresh food so more of it can be rescued and shared.

Waste to Taste is a food rescue and free food box program through Burrito Brigade. We work in collaboration with local grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, and farms to rescue food and redistribute it to the community. Proof of income or hardship is not required to shop here.

We have the community. We have the momentum. Now we need the space to match it.

After years of growing demand, Burrito Brigade secured a building that can finally support the scale of what this community is asking of us. Right now, that space sits empty because it is not yet ready to safely store food, prepare meals, and welcome the neighbors who rely on us every week.

We need to raise $300,000 to transform this building into a fully functional Community Food Hub — a place that will expand food access, strengthen community resilience, and help ensure no one goes hungry on our watch.

This expansion will allow us to:
• Serve more families every week
• Rescue and redistribute more food before it goes to waste
• Grow our programs by at least 25%
• Build long-term food security for our community

And this community has already shown what’s possible when people show up for each other.

In 2025 alone, together we:
• Distributed 12,000 food boxes
• Rescued 475,000 pounds of food
• Made and distributed 27,000 burritos

But the need keeps growing — and so will we.

Right now, every dollar donated is MATCHED up to $25,000, doubling the immediate impact of your support.

Through this program from Burrito Brigade, families can shop a free grocery-style experience filled with rescued and donated food that might otherwise go to waste. Every appointment helps put fresh, usable food into the hands of people who need it most.
