Food for Lane County Reducing hunger by engaging
our community to create access to food. Our 36,000 square foot facility on Bailey Hill Rd.

Food for Lane County (FFLC) is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit food bank dedicated to reducing hunger by engaging our community to create access to food. We accomplish this by soliciting, collecting, rescuing, growing, preparing, and packaging food for distribution through a 150-member network of human service agencies and programs; through public awareness, education and community advocacy. FFLC is a United Way of Lane County agency, member of the Oregon Food Band Network, and a distribution partner of Feeding America, the nation's food bank. We serve the emergency food needs for a population base of 382,000 people living in the 4,722 square miles of Lane County. includes a warehouse, office, industrial kitchen, freezer and cooler space, and pickup and delivery trucks. Our West Broadway warehouse features a 3,500-square foot freezer, and is the food distribution hub for partner agencies. In 2019-20, we distributed 8.29 million pounds of food. Food for Lane County is an equal opportunity provider.

This National Farmers Day we'd like to shine a spotlight on our farm donors and partners. Their hard work, knowledge, and craft result in our neighbors having access to fresh fruits & vegetables for much of the year. Thank you, farmers!

Of course we're a bit biased, but a special thanks goes out to our own farmers at the Food For Lane County Youth Farm and GrassRoots Garden

We're still buzzing from the overwhelming support at the Empty Bowls Auction last weekend. The 1.2 MILLION meals raised is an incredible demonstration of community generosity as we enter the holiday season.

A special thanks goes out to all of our auction sponsors, whose support is key to meeting our goal. Their partnership helped turn one incredible evening into meals for our neighbors, hope for families facing hunger, and a stronger community for all of us.

Mille Grazie!

We have an urgent need for drivers to help deliver midday meals to homebound seniors in Eugene, in addition to help in the kitchen to package meals and wash dishes.

Because the driver and meal prep volunteer roles are in contact with vulnerable populations, there is a background check requirement. We know that can feel like a barrier—but the satisfaction you'll feel knowing a neighbor ate lunch today because you made it happen is worth it.

Driver shifts begin between 10 and 11am, and routes take approximately two hours and we reimburse for mileage. To help, complete our Driver Interest Form at bit.ly/mowdrive, or call Meals on Wheels staff at 541-607-5065 and we can walk you through the process.

Calling all Webfoots! The Mobile Pantry is coming to the EMU Green today at noon! This is the first of three pop-ups and we'd love to see you there.

The mission of the Mobile Pantry is to bring more food to high-need places in Lane County. Through this pop-up style market, we distribute a variety of pantry staples, proteins, dairy items and fresh produce. A typical visit to the Mobile Pantry will provide a household with a three- to five-day supply of nutritionally balanced groceries.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended this year's Empty Bowls Auction & Dinner, presented by Slocum Orthopedics. With the support of our generous community we raised over $600,000 - the equivalent of 1.2 MILLION meals.

It was a splendid evening that couldn't have been possible without the hard work and contributions of our volunteers, sponsors, staff and guests. You all put the family in "Alla Famiglia". Grazie!
