Bayfront East Side Taskforce Revitalizing Erie's historic East Bayfront. The Mission of B.E.S.T.

is to improve the quality of life for neighborhood residents and assure a stable, desirable working environment for businesses and their employees. Our central themes have been to organize the community to build a positive neighborhood image, increase neighborhood pride and beautify the neighborhood. We also strive to promote home ownership, improve communication and serve in a coordination and co

operation role with local government. We work with many partners in the community to improve safety, build stability and foster a sense of community.

Please be aware that E. Front Street between Holland and German Streets will be restricted to one-lane starting June 1, 2026.

This is a long-term closure as PennDOT will be working to stabilize the bluff through mid-August 2026.

Now open for bids - 431 Ash Street Renovation!

The Bayfront East Side Taskforce is officially putting out to bid the full interior renovation of our property located at 431 Ash Street, Erie, PA 16507.

This is a prevailing wage project.

We are seeking qualified construction, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors interested in submitting bids.

Mandatory open house:
Monday, May 18th
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

All contractors wishing to bid must attend the open house to view the property and receive details. All in attendance will receive a bid package containing details of the renovation.

Bid submission deadline:
Tuesday, May 26 by 1:00 p.m.
