It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, coworker, pastor, and brother in Christ, Jamie Weakley.
For the past 10 years, Jamie faithfully served as an employee of Hope Outreach. Many in our community knew him as the friendly face managing our bookstore, but to us, he was so much more. Jamie had a heart of gold and a passion for Christ that was evident in everything he did. He was one of the most zealous followers of Jesus we have ever known.
Jamie never met a stranger. No matter how busy he was, he would stop what he was doing to pray with someone, offer biblical counsel, share the Gospel, or encourage a hurting heart. He was truly the pastor of Hope Outreach, faithfully teaching, discipling, and spiritually leading both staff and clients on a daily basis.
Through his ministry, countless lives were touched and many came to know Christ. His impact on our organization, our staff, and our community is immeasurable.
While our hearts are broken, we rejoice knowing that Jamie is now in the presence of the Savior he loved and served so faithfully.
Please keep Jamie's family, church family at First Missionary Baptist Church, and all who loved him in your prayers during this difficult time.
To help ease the financial burden of funeral expenses, we will be sharing a GoFundMe link in the comments and Hope Outreach will also be accepting donations designated specifically for Jamie and his family.
Jamie was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of faith, compassion, and service will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
