A Letter to Our Community,

It is with heavy hearts that we share unexpected news that will deeply impact our Enid Community. We have been informed that the Title 5 program through ODEA/NODA which supports two of our core team members has been affect by cuts. Come July 1st our team members will be placed on administrative leave. These individuals have had success with this program and helped shape the soul of Enid SOS. This happened last year and the state of Oklahoma stepped up and held the program stable until funds arrived. This year it doesn’t look like DHS might not even file for grant again leaving non profits and staff to suffer this impact.

This is much more than just loosing staff. Carl has fought his way out of homelessness and been great help to Enid SOS. He has given more than we have given to him. Last year he won employee of the year. He shows up and works hard.

If you ever heard Carls story you know how deeply this work matters. We don’t get state or federal funding for operating expenses. We are a small nonprofit organization.

Many people in the community know how vital our work is here at the resource center.

We want to do everything in our power to find a way to keep the two individuals on payroll. That’s why we are making this news available on our social media account.

When we say your support makes a difference it’s not just about donations it’s also about action. If you know state representative or state legislatures that can help get this matter in Title 5 program funded we could use your help.

Thank you for showing up with love and compassion and with action!

With Gratitude
Katelynn Culbert Executive Director
Rhonda Stevison Chief Outreach Officer

Last year, our Back-to-School Event was a tremendous success, helping over 165 students in
Garfield County start the school year with the supplies, clothing, new shoes, hygiene items,
and support they needed to succeed. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses,
organizations, and community members, we were able to remove barriers and help families
prepare for a successful school year.
This year, we're working to serve even more students, and we invite you to partner with us as a
sponsor for our 2026 Back-to-School Event on August 1, 2026.
Your sponsorship will directly support local children while showcasing your commitment to
making a difference in our community.

If you are a business and would like to sponsor our back to school event please contact us at [email protected] We would love to talk to you.
