We showed you a field of ash and an empty sky.
On August 19 it rained — heavy, in the evening, the first real fall in two months. Nothing since.
Look at the brush piled in the front of this photo. When Soklo's members cleared that field, they didn't burn all of it. The branches got stacked into a fence, and that fence is what keeps livestock off the cassava once it's in the ground.
The field is ready. They're waiting on a second storm.
