Colorado is home to more than 200 organizations and social ventures focusing on international development. Their work encompasses agriculture, community development, education, energy, health, infrastructure, and microfinance, among other fields. They share similar goals, such as designing or distributing products or services that improve the quality of life for the poorest people on the planet; T

hey serve similar populations, targeting their operations not only at the same continents — Africa, Asia, and Latin America — but in some cases even at the same countries. And they confront similar administrative burdens and financial challenges. Yet most of these organizations have operated in isolation from one another. The Posner Center brings together 60+ development-oriented businesses and organizations in a 25,000 square-foot shared space in Denver’s Curtis Park neighborhood to enable them to exchange ideas, cut costs, and improve the products and services they deliver. Collaboration will spur innovation, boost distribution, and generate new, sustainable ventures. Over time, Colorado will become a top destination for talented entrepreneurs and development organizations.

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR SYMPOSIUM 2025

🌎 The landscape of international development is shifting rapidly, with the freeze on U.S. foreign assistance funding putting jobs, organizations, and life-saving aid at risk worldwide. Now more than ever, we need to come together to navigate these challenges.

📖 To address these uncertainties, the 2025 Posner Symposium will now be a one-day event on March 13th with a renewed focus on the future of international development—from diversifying funding sources to leading through uncertainty.

💰 The Symposium is also shifting to a pay-what-you-can model, to help those going through financial hardship in these uncertain times. If you have already purchased a ticket and are in need of financial relief, please contact us for a full or partial refund.

Here are just a few of the things we will be covering:

🔹 Funding the Future: Navigating New Landscapes
How can organizations adapt and sustain impact amid funding instability? This session will explore emerging funding models, public-private partnerships, and innovative strategies to secure long-term success.

🔹 Leadership Amidst Growing Challenges: A CEO Roundtable
What does it take to lead in times of uncertainty? Top executives will share firsthand insights on resilience, crisis management, and guiding mission-driven organizations through change.

🔹 Reframing Foreign Aid: How to Shape the Conversation
As foreign assistance faces new constraints, how we frame the dialogue is more important than ever. In a keynote session, Former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will discuss the intersection of agriculture, diplomacy, and economic development, and how we can communicate impact to policymakers and funders.

📅 March 13, 2025 | Denver, CO | In-person

The need to convene, connect, strategize, and lead the way forward has never been greater, so join us and together we can tackle an uncertain future.
