Denver Turnverein Nonprofit for Dancing, Dance Education, and the Arts. The Denver Turnverein, Inc. is the oldest social membership club in Denver, CO, established in 1865.
(270)

Affiliated with the American Turners organization, the club has evolved from its original gymnastics focus to providing all types of social dancing as its primary focus. The motto "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body" credited to the original German Turner societies is still relevant today. Social dancing provides physical, mental, and interpersonal relationship benefits that are good for the body and the mind. As a non-profit membership organization, the club's yearly membership fee keeps nightly dance costs low and preserves the building for the enjoyment of its members. The membership community focus makes The Denver Turnverein a safe and welcoming place to dance.

On the morning of August 19, the Denver Turnverein experienced an electrical fire that caused significant damage to the front office and the boardroom. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Teamorado is devastated by the damage done to the venue that has been our community’s home for so many years. Balorado would not be possible without this amazing historic venue.

Please like, share, and donate if you can. If volunteer opportunities become available, we’ll share them!
