Affiliated with the American Turners organization, the club has evolved from its original gymnastics focus to providing all types of social dancing as its primary focus. The motto "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body" credited to the original German Turner societies is still relevant today. Social dancing provides physical, mental, and interpersonal relationship benefits that are good for the body and th

e mind. As a non-profit membership organization, the club's yearly membership fee keeps nightly dance costs low and preserves the building for the enjoyment of its members. The membership community focus makes The Denver Turnverein a safe and welcoming place to dance.
