iSSACHAR Center We seek to develop leaders who – like the tribe of Issachar – “understand the times and know what God’s people should do.” (1 Chronicles 12:32)

Founded in 1999 Issachar Center for Urban Leadership equips Urban Christian Leaders in an urbanizing world.

- We EQUIP Urban Christian Leaders that desire to be rooted in Christ, professional in their calling, healthy in relationships, and relentless in justice and reconciliation.

- We CONVENE Urban Christian Leaders to move from isolation into a transformational network that sees, hears, and encourages them to continue the work God has called them to do.

- We CURATE catalytic space, resources, experiences, initiatives, and opportunities that strategically center urban leaders and urban communities.

- We ARE executives, educators, activists, neighbors, ministry leaders, dreamers, entrepreneurs, law enforcement, and more…We are the past, present, and future of an urbanizing world. In the biblical story of King David, the people of Issachar were described as valuable at a critical moment in history because, "they understood the times, and knew what should be done." - 1 Chronicles 12:32
