Park Rangers had a fun morning at Houghton Land Preserve! 🦋
Guest speaker Karen Charnetski taught us about the importance of pollinators and the vital role they play in our ecosystem.
Along the trail, we spotted moths, Monarch butterflies, and bees. We even heard the call of a Pileated Woodpecker! Thank you, Karen, for sharing your knowledge and helping us learn about the many wonders of the natural world! 🐝
Another big thank you to our partner, the Horseheads Family Resource Center for making this program possible!
Join us next Friday at Clute Park, where we'll explore the fascinating world of freshwater habitats. We hope to see you there! 🌊
