Every year, World Mental Health Day reminds us that mental health deserves our attention, our compassion, and our care.

This year, we're inviting runners everywhere to celebrate it a little differently.

After spending the week running together during National Run for Mental Health Week (October 3–10), we'll cross the finish line on October 10 with the World Mental Health Day 5K.

Run it virtually from wherever you are or join one of our participating Fleet Feet community events. However you participate, you'll be joining thousands of others who believe that movement can be an important part of supporting our mental well-being.

Let's make World Mental Health Day a day to move with purpose, celebrate progress, and show that mental health matters—one mile at a time.

🎉 Registration for National Run for Mental Health Week is FREE, and you can add the World Mental Health Day 5K when you sign up.

One of our captains, Leila, is running the Baltimore Marathon on 10/17 representing Team Still I Run and fundraising for the cause! We would appreciate donations of any amount to help her reach her fundraising goal while supporting a great cause!

As some of you may know, I am a trained mental health counselor and am passionate about raising mental health awareness, reducing stigma surrounding mental illness, and increasing access to mental healthcare for all populations.

ICYMI: A new national movement is here.

Earlier this month, we announced the launch of National Run for Mental Health Week, a brand-new annual movement from Still I Run, and the response has been incredible.

From October 3–10, runners across the country will come together to celebrate the connection between running and mental well-being. Together, we'll log miles, share stories, encourage one another, and help normalize conversations around mental health.

If you haven't signed up yet, there's still plenty of time to join us.

Registration is completely FREE, and by signing up, you'll receive updates, inspiration, and opportunities to participate as we count down to October.

This is the very first year of National Run for Mental Health Week, and we'd love for you to be part of it from the beginning.

👉 Register today using the link in the comments!

Know someone who would love to be part of this movement? Tag them in the comments or share this post with them. Let's keep the momentum going. 💚

Join us for our 2nd monthly group meet up run at Lake Kittamaqundi in Columbia (Whole Foods lakefront) this Friday (7/24) at 4pm! We will meet at the top of the staircase to the left of Whole Foods. We welcome all paces whether you’re walking, jogging, running, hopping, skipping - what have you! Please DM us with any questions or for more information.
;; Note that we are attempting to accommodate runners from all across Maryland and are temporarily trying out different destinations that are both more centralized and also offer various distances to narrow down preferences. We hope to have all meet up locations established soon! ;;
